Engage in Outdoor Activities with Your Child

Currently, children are glued to television screens or computer monitors. They are endlessly watching TV programs or playing video consoles after school and during school breaks. Because of this, juvenile diabetes and obesity are among the most common problems in kids. In order to stop this, you need to get your child involved with outdoor activities.

There are several sports activities that will help your little angel develop mentally and physically. One of these is baseball, wherein he can enhance his fine motor skills. He can learn great eye to hand coordination by watching where the ball goes and trying to hit it. Grappling the baseball bat lets him develop muscle dexterity as well.

If you want to let him practice his motor skills like kicking or throwing, almost all sports are appropriate. Allow your child to throw balls into hoops or kick soccer balls around. He does not have to actually play the entire game. If you are playing football for the day, he can just throw the ball around and run after it.

The most important thing that you have to remember is to engage in activities together with your son. Do not just have him kicking balls by himself or with other kids. He will easily develop his skills with you by his side. Plus, go easy on him. Since he is still a toddler and his body needs to develop more, you have to treat him well and give him suitable playthings like those made from plastic or soft rubber.
