Most parents encounter a bit of a problem getting their kids to eat well. If you yourself have not been experiencing much success in this field, it might be time to rethink your strategies. Despite your well-meaning intentions, your children might have been unable to respond to you well because they think you are forcing all these kinds of food on them for no reason at all. You can get more success if you teach them the basics of proper nutrition and help them be more knowledgeable about their health. Make this happen when you instruct them about the food pyramid.
First, cut a large triangle out of a poster board. Afterwards, snip out strips of construction paper in colours of orange, purple, green, red, yellow, and blue. The thickness of each slip should be according to how much of each food group there should be in your kids' diet. Next, paste the coloured strips up on the triangle, making sure to write the name of each classification.
In addition to this, have your children cut out pictures of food from magazines, assisting them carefully as they snip out each image. When you have the appropriate number of pictures, let them approach the triangle one by one, instructing them where to put each kind of fare. While they are in the process of doing so, make it a point to discuss with them the merits of each food that they have chosen. Follow these steps when teaching your kids about the food pyramid.
